A 23,000-seat arena which hosts the biggest bands and sporting events, nightclubs, cinemas, restaurants and the intimate IndigO2... The O2 - the largest fabric structure in the world - has it all.
Britain's Millennium celebrations were held in this vast tented structure, located on the Peninsula to the North of Greenwich. It was designed by Richard Rogers, a British architect noted for his functionalist and modernist design.
Originally named the Millennium Dome, The O2 was relaunched in June 2007 as a top music and entertainment venue.
It will be one of the key venues for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. |
